Troop 10 has had a history of scheduling high adventure trips for its older scouts, either on its own or through council summer camps from all over the South. In the past, our scouts have enjoyed numerous whitewater trips on the Ocoee River in Tennessee/Georgia, the Nantahala in North Carolina, the Lower Mt Fork in Oklahoma, and the Caddo in Arkansas.
Troop 10 scouts have enjoyed a weekend long trip around the Florida panhandle, including a canoe trip down the Coldwater Creek, and an overnight visit to the Pensacola Naval Air Station. Our scouts like climbing, so in addition to troop meetings at The Rok Haus in Lafayette and the Texas Rock Gym in Houston, we have also taken the older scouts to Enchanted Rock in 2010, 2011, and 2016 for caving, climbing and hiking trips.
